A close relative of onions, garlic and leeks, french shallots host a cluster of 2-3 firm, dense and juicy cloves that are well suited to both raw and cooked dishes. Raw Shallots are aromatic, spicy, sweet and crisp and when cooked develop a delicate, sweet, savoury flavour – with notes of garlic.
